How Do You Check the 10th Class Result 2026?

Four methods are available. Each one works in a different situation, so knowing all four before August 6 saves you a lot of stress.

By Roll Number

This is the fastest and most reliable method for every student who has their admit card. On result day:

  1. Open your board’s official website
  2. Go to the Results section
  3. Select SSC Part 2 Annual 2026
  4. Enter your roll number and click Submit

Subject-wise marks, total, percentage, and grade will show immediately.

By Name

Misplaced your roll number slip? Most boards allow searching by full registered name. Go to the official board website, choose Result by Name, type your name exactly as it appears on your admit card, and search. One important note: BISE Lahore does not support name-based search directly on the result portal. For Lahore Board students, download the gazette PDF and use Ctrl+F to search your name there.

By SMS

This is the method to use when official websites are jammed under traffic. No internet is needed at all. Open your message app, type your roll number, send it to your board’s SMS code. Results arrive within a few minutes. All nine Punjab board codes are in the table further below.

Via Gazette PDF

The gazette is the complete official result document each board publishes after the announcement. It lists every student’s roll number, name, subject-wise marks, total, grade, and pass/fail status. Schools and teachers use it for bulk checking without loading individual pages. Download it from your board’s website, open it on any device, and press Ctrl+F to search your roll number or name instantly.

What Are the Passing Marks for 10th Class Result 2026?

This is the most important and most misunderstood update for 2026. The answer is 40%.

PBCC officially raised the minimum passing threshold from 33% to 40% per subject, starting with the 2026 first annual examinations. This applies to all nine Punjab boards. Students must score at least 40% in both the theory paper and the practical exam separately. Scoring 40% in theory but below 40% in practical means that subject is not passed, even if the combined marks look fine.

This change applies to SSC Part 1 and SSC Part 2 both. The same rule applies under FBISE for federal area students.

For most Punjab boards, the total marks for Matric (SSC Part 1 and Part 2 combined) are 1,100. A student needs 440 marks overall to pass, but the 40% per subject rule applies individually too. Both conditions must be met.

Any student scoring below 40% in any single subject receives a U grade in that subject and is considered failed in it, regardless of their total percentage. This is why subject-wise marks matter more than just the overall total in 2026.

If your marks do not match your exam performance, you have the right to apply for rechecking. The window typically opens one to two weeks after the August 6 result. The board reviews your total marks, unchecked questions, and any transfer errors. It is not a re-evaluation of your written answers.

Steps to apply:

  1. Visit your board’s official E-Services portal
  2. Open the Paper Rechecking section
  3. Select the subjects you want reviewed
  4. Pay the challan fee (Rs. 1,200 per subject for most Punjab boards)
  5. Submit the application before the announced deadline

Updated results are published online after the process is complete.

What Happens If You Fail a Subject in the 10th Class Result 2026?

Failing one or two subjects does not mean repeating the full academic year. Every Punjab board runs supplementary exams in October or November for students who did not pass in the first annual result.

Registration for supply exams opens immediately after the annual result announcement. Watch your board’s official website for the supply exam date sheet and registration deadline.

Common Problems on Result Day and How to Fix Them

Board website not loading

This happens every single year for the first 20 to 30 minutes after the result drops. Switch to SMS immediately or wait 15 minutes and try again. Do not panic.

Forgot roll number

Check old messages from your school, look at your physical admit card, or ask your school admin. Still nothing? Use name-based search on your board’s website. If that is also down, download the gazette and search your name with Ctrl+F.

Wrong result showing on screen

If the name or father’s name does not match yours, contact your board’s office the same day. Keep your roll number slip and CNIC handy. Most boards resolve data errors within a few working days.

How to save your result card as PDF

Open your result page, press Ctrl+P, and select Save as PDF. This digital copy is accepted for college admission forms and does not need attestation for most institutions.
